Hi, my name is Vince Kramer. I am Supplier Quality Engineer at E-Z-GO a Textron Company.
Kathy asked me if I would and speak about the Cost of Quality with you on August 26th. I didn't hesitate to accept her offer as this happens to be one of my favorite subjects. Just so that you know a little about me and what I do prior to then, I was requested to provide a short bio - so here goes.
I have been in manufacturing since 1993. In those 17 years I have held many positions from Sales and Technical Service to Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement. Prior to 1993 I served 4 years in the Air Force as a Wideband Communication Technician; 3 years Motor Cycle and Jet Ski Mechanic and eventually Service Manager. I finally found a home when I moved into Quality in 2004.
Part of the responsibility of the Quality Engineer is to ensure that parts are exactly what has been designed by Engineers. We also look at processes to ensure that quality is sustainable and consistent both internally and externally and ensure that the product that is delivered to the customer is exactly what they need when they need it and at the cost point that is expected.
